Strategy
The facilitation of strategy sessions are based on the purpose and desired outcomes of each specific situation. When there is no formalised strategy a comprehensive process such as Ilbury and Sunter’s Socratic Conversation may be used to put a strategy in place, after which the translation of strategy can be facilitated for different business units and support function. A format such as The Balanced Scorecard (Kaplan and Norton) is useful, although a format can also be tailor-made to suit the needs of an organisation.
Performance management is the vehicle best suited for strategy implementation and The Balanced Scorecard (Kaplan and Norton) provides a framework for alignment between strategy, functional objectives, and individual/team performance objectives. Consultation is available for leadership and Human Resources departments to enable this process.
